Securitize adds Stellar blockchain as institutional tokenization gathers steam

Securitize has added Stellar to its supported blockchains, joining Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche.

The firm announced this addition at Meridian 2026, the Stellar Development Foundation’s annual conference held in Portugal.

Securitize, which transforms real-world assets like debt and equity into tradable tokens, stated that Stellar is recognized for its speed and scalability. This allows decentralized assets to be configured for compliance with know-your-customer (KYC), sanctions, and clawbacks.

Franklin Templeton operates a tokenized money market fund utilizing Stellar, and MoneyGram processes money across this platform daily.

Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo commented, stating, “The Stellar network has built the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets, which speaks to the strength of its network and the growing institutional demand for tokenization.”

Tokenization, the process of placing assets onto a blockchain, has recently gained attention as more companies offer or plan to offer shares, bonds, and commodities that can trade around the clock with minimal geographic limitations.

Stellar, established in 2017, became public on the New York Stock Exchange in July. Its stock was simultaneously listed on Solana (SOL) and Avalanche (AVAX).
